Hi, usual apologies if this problem has been encountered before - couldn’t find anything similar.
At my work, we have integrated Openfire with Clearspace and now, all users who log in (using spark), see ALL open groups that people have created on Clearspace. What’s more, it’s not possible to delete those groups. For the Clearspace groups that I control, I have changed the access from Open to Registered and my groups no longer appear on Openfire. However, since we have literally dozens of open groups, I’m not sure how feasible it is to ask everyone to change their access level. Also, some of the groups it is quite right that they should be open to all for view/update but I simply don’t want them to appear on Openfire.
I’ve checked the admin pages for both openfire and clearspace but can’t find anything that prevents these groups from automatically appearing for all users.
Has anyone encountered this problem? Would appreciate advice.
P.S. Worth mentioning that we’re running current versions of both Clearspace and Openfire and use LDAP integration.
