Hello. Is in Openfire any option to create common chat group for all users and join them to this group from server side?
You can install Client Control plugin, the ngo to Client Management menu and add Group Chat bookmark. Mark All users and mark auto-join. This way all users will get this bookmark with auto-join turned on.
Thx. The feature seems to be working great. One problem left - how to make nicknames display in room as they display in roster.
By filling a nickname field in the profile in every client. Rooms are pulling this field for showing in the list.
But how can I change it, if we use LDAP as source? Server returns an error when i try to change nickname in profile settings.
Not using LDAP myself, so can’t tell how this can be achieved. Probably it should pull some vCard field as a nickname from AD.
