Wondering, I’m not sure what the order of settings would be for a XMPP client, say like pidgin

I’m using Active Directory and its working but I’m not sure how to connect users, I apologize for the genuine n00b of my question. I search the forums and could not find a post that made sense to me.

So I mean with pidgin for starters using XMPP what would the settings be for

domain

resource

In advanced I have the IP of the openfire server.

Do you mean, what is the logon details for a user?

If it is, then an AD user trying to logon to your server would look like this:

ADusername@yourdomainname

Is this what you were asking?

i figured it out after playing with pidgin for a bit, but thank you for your time
