Hello,

I’m in a company where I want to have departmental chat where users can be allowed or not allowed chat privileges.

For example:

Sales Department has:

User1

User2

User3

User4

Mod1

Mod1 is their boss. I want it so I can decice if these users can chat with each other or not, and if I decide to allow them… I allow them to chat with particular individuals. Mod1 can chat with everyone.

Also, is there an openfire administration manual somewhere? All your documents seem to talk about installation/install customization but nothing with the actual administration of it.

Please help.

There’s no simple way to do this. You might be able to manage to do it with the Packet Filter plugin and setting up advanced rules to drop packets between forbidden users.
