Could not stop the openfire server on os x 10.6.3

i get this while trying to stop it via sys. pref. tab

java 1.6 32 bit

killing it at terminal is not possible since it respawns again… what is the name of the watchdog process?

it seems like a half baked product so far…

i don’t want to restart the box just because of i can’t stop a program, it is so windows to do so…

I’m experiencing the same problem. Kill -9 just restarts it. This issue began occuring after a restart post-upgrade from 2.4.

OS X 10.6.8
