CPU usage at 50%

The cpu usage is at 50% sometimes 100%…is there a fix for this or is it gonna be like this all the time.

This is the 2.5 beta.

I have seen this too in the beta where the CPU usage goes high for no reason. I suspect its just a problem with the beta. If there is something I can do that would help track this down, let me know.

It just happened again where the cpu usage went to 80%. Using process explorer under the Thread tab for spark, I see MSVCR71.dll using 80% cpu. The stack for this thread shows:

ntoskrnl.exe!KiDispatchInterrupt+0xa7

jvm.dll!JVM_EnqueueOperation+0x90

awt.dll!Java_sun_awt_image_ImageRepresentation_setBytePixels+0x98

By any chance are there any animated images being used for avatars, etc?

SPARK-287 is still open, one may want to vote for it to get it fixed.

I was using some animated emoticons, (skype_emoticons_set_2_5590_2599.zip). Switch back to the default ones seems to have fixed it.
