Crash_boom server setup

Hi Guys,

I am new to Openfire. I am setting up instant messaging on Issabel and when I get to the 2nd screen
( server settings ), I get an error 500. Java Lang NullPointer Exception. Do I need to put a certificate in there? Blowfish? AES?

Thank you,
Quaz

Sorry to hear that! What version of Openfire are you trying to install, on what platform (I do not know what ‘Issabel’ is). Can you please share the log files (and the entire NullPointerException, if that’s not in the log files)?

Guus,

Here’s the 500 error. Version is Openfire 4.7.1, build d7dfd04. What else can I get? Thank you for the help.

This suggests that there was a problem setting up the encryption keys used for properties. Does Openfire have trouble writing to the database, or to files in its installation directory?
