hey all, I just installed Asteisk-IM 1.4.0 and with A LOT of work got it all connected. I know that it is working ok, cause i can watch my Asterisk CLI show my user logging in and out… and my log file is filling up FAST with all the events that the manager API is pushing to Openfire 3.5.1. However, when i click on Actions >Dial Number from spark and enter in a number to dial nothing happens. Well, SOMETHING happens, the screen shows that it is dialing that number … but nothing on my asterisk server shows that. but no error is produced in the openfire logs. anyone else experienced something like this before ??
ok, my fault. i didnt correctly add my device name in the phone mappings; and now i cann get Spark to dial out for me ! but i have one other issue now. when a user’s device is busy (cause that user is on the phone) i was under the impression that their Spark icon would change to a ‘busy’ or ‘on the phone’ icon. is this not the case ? because its definately not doing that now !
i have been looking at other posts on this same matter and one of them asked for the debug info when a call was made or placed by the device in question:

Thats what mine shows, but i have correctly mapped SIP/7010 to a user, because i can make phone calls out using Spark with that user. but the presence just will not update. this is rather aggrivating !!
any ideas ?
