I was wondering if there was any way for an administrator to disable a clients ability to set a custom status message? We’‘d like the people in our office to be able to choose from the drop down (Available, Away, On Phone, etc) but we don’‘t want them setting custom messages. We haven’'t had a big issue yet, but its become sort of game to see who can make the “wittiest” message each day. “Chatty: Morning()”
Personally, it seems like a user education issue to me (“don’'t do that”) but management wants to know if its possible to disable without writing a custom client.
