DNS lookups ok to jabber.org, fail to gmail.com? s2s issue

I have a windows box running 3.6.3

I am trying to get s2s working correctly. When it tries an s2s to gmail.com it says:

Trying to connect to gmail.com:5269(DNS lookup: gmail.com:5269)

it should say something like:

Jabber.org is fine, gmail for some reason isnt using any of the srv records

Any ideas how/where to start debugging this?

Found the problem, my internal DNS server was whacked.
