Does the sparkweb client work with any XMPP server or just Openfire?

We’re currently running ejabberd on a test server and I really like the spark client. I’d like to test out the spark web client but it’s not authenticating. Does it require Openfire as the server or can it talk to ejabberd?

It should work with any XMPP server.
