Error creating the groups

Hi,

I can’'t create groups in the admin console.

I always get the message:

“Error creating the group. Please check your error logs.”

The logs don’'t show nothing about it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mário,

are you using the read-only LDAP provider for groups or the database?

Openfire can not create LDAP groups, you need an LDAP tool for this.

Yes, i’'m using LDAP.

Sorry to ask, but how do I create a group in LDAP (I know how to handle LDAP, but not LDAP Openfire groups)

Hi Mário,

you should already have a tool like LDAP Administrator to mange the users and the groups within LDAP - I have no idea how to create groups using command line commands.
