Error creating the room. You do not have enough privileges to create rooms

I receive the following message when trying to create persistent rooms while looged into the Admin console.

Error creating the room. You do not have enough privileges to create rooms.

I am also not able to add administrators to the Group Chat, it reports the following error:

Error adding the user. Please verify the JID is correct.

Even though I know these are the correct users. The only way a room can be created is by setting the “permission policy” to “Anyone can create rooms”. I am currently on 2.2.0 B2

So have you added admin to a list of users allowed to create room? I mean, when you select “Only specific users can create a chat room.” option. If you havent specified custom JID in config file for admin user, then default would be admin@server. Add this user to Allowed list and you should be able to create rooms.
