"extra" directory

Hi all,

I just upgraded recently to the latest version of openfire up from from an earlier release. Before there used to be a sub directory under bin called “extra” where once can generate scripts to run openfire as a service. To my surprise, this dir is gone (or actually empty) after the upgrade.

Any idea how this could have happened? Did anyone have the same result after upgrading?

Hey Kamel,

I guess you are using the RPM installers. In the latest Openfire versions we replaced old RPMs with native RPMs. In the new native RPMs the extra folder is no longer needed. Is there any particular functionality that you are looking for?
