Failed to archive the message in openfire version 3.6.0a

I just upgrade from 3.5.2 to 3.6.0a using the existing MS SQL database. Everything look ok but when I check the monitoring services, it is found that all messages cannot be captured and archived to the database. Should I need to create a new db to save it or it is a bug?

I am having a similar problem. I have a new install, but I’m unable to use the monitoring plugin. When I set up Openfire 3.6a, I chose to put the logs on a partition that has allot of space, so I’m not sure if that is the problem. The actual logs are being created (Message Auditing).

I’m confused about the conversations logged to a file instead of the database. There are tables that are not being populated. An example would be dbo.MucConversationLog.

Thanks,

Hi Tom,

Sounds like you’ve enabled Openfire’s auditing feature, rather than the message archiving feature. There was a pretty extensive discussion recently on the forums concerning someone who had run into a similar problem you describe. Here is a link to that discussion:

Hope that helps,

Thanks Ryan -

I’m still having a problem, but I think that thread pointed me in the

right direction. I think it’s a permissions issue.
