I just wanted to know if spark support doing file transfer in band, the spec for this is XEP-0047, though I don’‘t care how it’‘s done as long as it’‘s in band. If spark doesn’'t support this, anyone know any clients that do this? gaim and gajim seem to do this out of band and I there is no obvious way to get them to do it in band.

The smack library supports it, but it’‘s not exposed in the Spark UI. You could either try creating a sparkplug which would be pretty simple if you’‘ve got some experience with java, or you could try preventing the SOCKS5 connection with your firewall, though it appears the port that is used isn’'t consistent.
