Forgot my admin password

Dear Team,

I forgot my admin password. I don’y no which database I am using. Please suugest me how to recover the admin password. How can I find which database I am using. I am using openfire 3.6 version.

Do this :

  • Stop openfire
  • Edit openfire.xml in conf folder and set setup to false
  • Restart openfire
  • Go through setup wizard again and set a new password or new database

Your current database configuration is also stored in openfire.xml

There should be conf/openfire.xml - there the database access data is stored.

There you could manually modify the JID of the admin.
