I’'m not sure where this issue lies, however when I am signed into jabber via Gaim and a client logs on via Spark it does not show up as being active until I sign off gaim and sign back on. Is there a polling setting at how often it checks to see who is on?
What server are you using? This sounds more like a server issue than anything else. We don’'t know of any issues between Spark and Gaim otherwise. Can you replicate the issue Spark to Spark, or no?

Actually- I since I am using LDAP this is a long standing issue that many users are experiencing. The status does not change when an LDAP user logs in until the client disconnects and reconnects. Apparently will be fixed in 2.5.1? Same issue happens when using Spark as well.
