Gatway Test fails in openfire 3.6.2

Hi,

I am using Openfire 3.6.2 and have recently installed IM Gateway latest plugin avbailable.

My problem is when i activate the GTalk gateway and test the connection it always fails to do so…

and similar behavior is noted with the other gateways, I am thinking it must be related to the server settings which i might have missed out.

I have installed openfire on a local machine in a LAN, and not on an application server.

Does any one know about this problem.

Are you sure your network allows communication on the specified ports for the various gateways? My guess is that the communication is blocked either locally on the server bya software firewall or at the network level. Openfire does not care what kind of server you install it on. It can even run on a windows XP box.
