it is possible, but you have to make a search filter, eg in my case :

(&(objectClass=organizationalPerson)(|(memberOf=cn=chat.group1,ou=ChatGroups,dc=domain,dc=com)(memberOf=cn=chat.group2,ou=ChatGroups,dc=domain,dc=com)))

i think i found this on this forum too.
