I have some doubts.
Group provider only provide “shared groups”? Or a personal group is managed by group provider to?

A GroupProvider like its class/interface comment says is “Provider interface for groups”. That means that implementors of this interface will be used for managing groups defined in the Admin Console. Please, do not confuse these groups with the groups defined by users in their rosters.
