Gtalk-My XMPP server stops responding after server upgradation

Hi,

I have recently upgraded from 3.6.0 to 3.7.0.

Initially when i was on 3.6 version my gtalk-XMPP communication is working fine(S2S)

But when i upgraded to 3.7.0 , i stop receiving any presence or message from gtalk user.

I havn’t change my configuration at all, just upgrade.

Please help me to find the solution.

Thanks,

Nikhil dhiman

Openfire is stopping message going to gtalk server.

This is a bug OF-443 and there is a patch which you can try by downloading the nightly builds or new installer from Bamboo

Nightlies http://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/nightly_openfire.jsp

Patched installer - you didn’t say what OS you are using, so choose yourself, then go to Artifacts and download the installer http://bamboo.igniterealtime.org/browse/OPENFIRE

I am getting this error

Is this the problem at google end or at my end.

I use tcpdump on 5269 port , i am not getting any presence/message from google side.

Is this error still happening after you have installed the nightly build?

Can you please recommend the stable version of nighty build with that patch on it.

I can’t afford to close my chat server every time.

Do i need to take Db backup every time i upgrade . Because Db size is too big now.

“stable” and “nightly build” never come together. If you don’t want to mess with your production server then create a test server and test on it. Any current nightly build should be sufficient to test this issue with gtalk. I don’t think this should affect you DB, but it is always a good idea to do a backup.
