Help install openfire ubuntu

apparently everything works i get this when in terminal:

root@chono-laptop:/opt/openfire/bin# ./openfire start

Starting openfire

root@chono-laptop:/opt/openfire/bin# nohup: appending output to `nohup.out’

when i go http://localhost:9090 i just get an unable to conncet page, any suggestions, begginer so make it simple please.

Hi,

do you have a local firewall which block loopback access?

Execute

netstat -an | grep 8080

to make sure that Openfire is running.

Look at the files in /opt/openfire/logs/ .
