How do I set up JWChat?

Has anybody been able to set up JWChat to work with Wildfire under a standard Apache2 (not Tomcat) and Wildfire installation environment?

If so, could you please share how you did it?

If you need more info, let me know.

Thanks!

Hi Anthony,

JWChat needs Jabber HTTP Binding (JHB) and this is a servlet. So you need either Tomcat, JBoss, … or Jetty, while Jetty is the Wifi HTTP Server and Servlet Container. Some people did successfully convert JHB to a Wifi plugin and are running it. Unfortunately none of them did post details on how to do this.

You may look at Install JabberHTTPBind in bundled Jetty Server and JWChat booting users after about 30 minutes but there is yet no helpful information available.

Apache2 is something you don’'t need to get JWChat running.
