How Does JM-234 Work

I was trying to get JM-234 working on the latest nightly build, but I can’'t seem to get it to work. I have tried using just the hostname, hostname:9090, etc…

I was going off of what was posted here: http://www.jivesoftware.org/issues/browse/JM-234

Is that correct?

Hey Disruptor,

The jira spec was used as a base for the implementation but the final functionality is described better in the readme.html. However, we are now making some enhancements so the latest code in CVS and the readme.html are not 100% in synch. Anyway, if you are using the beta2 then you can follow the readme.html to learn how to use the servlet.

Once we consider the work done with the plugin we are going to update the plugins page so it would be easier to download and use the new presence servlet.

Hey Gato,this is a problem when i used presence servlet.if i don’‘t login admin console in web.i use ‘‘http://localhost:9090/plugins/presence/presence?username=admin’’ ,plugin can’‘t display admin’‘s status,just browser’'s address cloumn show ‘‘http://localhost:9090/login.jsp?url=%2Fplugins%2Fpresence%2Fpresence%3Fusername% 3Dadmin’’. after I login to admin console in web.i again run above command it is fine.

i set presence servlet : Anyone may get presence information.

whether i can direct to view user online status before i don’'t login to web admin console.

Hey tom,

The bug has been fixed. Use the latest code in CVS to get the plugin and install the latest nightly build too. Or you may wait for JM 2.2 RC 1.
