How to connect 2 locations across VPN with one server

Hi,

Just downloaded and installed wildfire and spark. Wildfire server runs fine on a win 2003 server and is using 10.0.0.0 scheme. Another location is connected via firewall based VPN ( no additional server. DHCP on firewall allocates address at remotes location ) using 10.0.1.0 scheme. What are the steps regarding firewall settings and windows setup to allow the two locations to talk? I looked at an earlier thread concerning two locations but wasn’'t sure it applied due to the DNS. Thanks!

rfkhky,

Clients usually use port 5222 to communicate with an XMPP server or port 5223 when using SSL/TLS.

Before looking at any firewalls on the server that may be hamerping communication, I would make sure that you have a route setup for those clients that VPN in so that they can communicate to the 10.0.0.0 LAN.

Good luck,

Carlos
