How to connect to IRC

Hi,

I’m too stupid to connect to IRC. How do I have to do this with adium and kopete ?

Can some one please tell me how to ?

I’m not familar with Adium or Kopete, but I should generally work like this:

  1. Open ServiceDiscovery, there should be two nodes labled with “IRC Transport”
  2. Register with node “irc.yourserver.com” like you would do it with an ICQ-Transport
  3. Once you are logged in, use “conference.irc.yourserver.com” to join the chatrooms.
