I found a link http://scn.sap.com/community/enterprise-portal/blog/2011/11/16/xmpp-chat-in-the- sap-portal which refers to use of a third party chat solution (by Openfire) with SAP portal. If anyone has idea on this then please provide us more insight to it with any information document. We are basically looking for -
a. Installation and configuration guide for Open Fire chat solution integration with SAP portal .Portal users (UME database) as well anonymous users will use the chat function in portal.
b. Database installation guide for chat server. Please note that our SAP portal uses MAXDB & Sybase Database. Please let us know if these databases can be used.
c. How the portal user base will be handled in this integrated chat solution.”
