How to increase font size of the typing box?

How can I increase the font size of the typing box?

When I go to Preferences > Appearance > Customization, there is an option to increase “chat room font size” or " contact list font size". Neither updates the font in the typing box.

Have a larger size font in the typing box would be very beneficial.

There is no such setting or other workaround. Unless you find what part of code controls it, change it and compile your own version of Spark.
