I’‘m trying to correctly setup MySQL for unicode support. Database Installation Guide has been quite helpful. However, I’'m having trouble with this step:
"MySQL does not have proper Unicode support, which makes supporting data in non-Western languages difficult. However, the MySQL JDBC driver has a workaround which can be enabled by adding is easy enough but it’‘s not clear to me how to “set the Jive character encoding to utf-8 in the admin tool”. I don’‘t see an explicit setting for that. And I don’‘t see anything like character encoding in the list of properties. (I’'m using 3.2.4 version).
