HTTP client differens

Hi again!

I have tried to send normal messages to the HTTP proxy port(8080) of Openfire, but it does’'nt work. Sending them the usual way though TCP(5222) works fine. So, are there any differens between sending messages though HTTP than TCP, or shuold it work in the same way?

Are there any other things one should think of when using HTTP(S)?

Does anyone have some examplecode using HTTP that you could provide? Or direct my to a page about this topic?

Thanks for any answers!

I guess the answer is BOSH. So there are a major difference. Smack API and Beep is supposed to support BOSH and HTTP(S) so i’'ll use them.
