HTTP ERROR 500 Problem accessing /index.jsp

#1

Hi - ever since upgrading to 4.3.2 I get the below error - this is only for index.jsp , I can log in to the server successfully if I change the page to http://host/server-properties.jsp it then prompts me to log in and successfully authenticates however I cannot click on the SERVER tab at the top - or SERVER MANAGER on the left or get the same error (luckily it seems to start on this page and I can click on the menu on the left) DATABASE on the left also produces an error

I have it installed on

  • windows server
  • installed the complete with java
  • upgraded prior installation (prior version was working)
  • installed as service , was installed as service , tried stopping the service prior to install

#2

Need to remove folder plugins/admin/webapp/WEB-INF/lib/

#3

This worked for me. I removed the lib folder. Run the java bundled installer of openfire, and chose to upgrade.

#4

Worked for me as well. Didn’t even have to re-upgrade. Just stopped the Openfire service, removed the specified directory and started the service again. I can log into the Openfire administration as before. Thank you!
