I cannot login to a new user i created on localhost

So i am using Miranda NG and I am trying to login to my user account that i created

I can connect fine to the server and create an account from miranda ng but not login with that account, from the client i get this error:

Please use a domain name when connecting to a server. In general, the XMPP is badly supported in the Miranda, try to use the latest version of Gajim

Do you mean openfire is badly supported on Miranda NG or xmpp itself?,

I have connected to countless different servers on miranda NG and they have all worked fine

I’m not sure if this is caused by copy/pasting logs, but the ‘to’ address that’s used by your client seems to be:

http://192.168.10.48

There are two things of concern:

  • there should not be a scheme definition like http:// (although maybe this is caused by copy/pasting the logs)
  • Typically, this value should not be an IP address, but an XMPP domain name. I think your XMPP domain name is configured to be 2015-pc. You can verify this in the Openfire admin console’s first page. It as advisable to use a value that is resolvable though DNS as your XMPP domain name.
