Are you using any gateways ?
For me Bombus connects successfully when there is no gateways in roster…
It’s very strange… I think it’s related to MINA’s bugs…
Actually, I’m off-topic because this thread is specifically related to IM gateways. But I cannot log on at all anymore from Bombus’ clients with the last Openfire release. The process stops (freezes ?) during the roster retrieval.

Did you try to logon with another account on the same server?
With smaller roster…
it’s not a bug of Gateway it’s bug of Openfire and Bombus…
I think openfire sends to bombus something that bombus didn’t expects… and bombus freazes…

It works with a smaller roster. I’m wondering if it is because of Metacontacts I have set with Synapse-IM. I guess I should ask to the Bombus’ developers, though.

CRITICAL: fixed bug with ejabberd roster pushes and roster retriving. now bombus proceeds roster stanza according to rfc3921/7.2

workaround for FS#712 - correct roster loading if buggy server sends presences BEFORE client receives roster and SENDS INITIAL PRESENCE
(usually it is direct presences from buggy transport services)

I installed openfire 3-6-4 with the onle purpose to access from mobiles.
I tryed the following mobiles im client: bombus, bombusmod, jimmyim, miniim and slick. No one could work!!.
Openfire works fine from my spark, but it’s not what i want.
Is there any working configuration with openfire (latest version) and mobiles client?
