I’'m using the 1.1.0 beta IM plugin. If I connect to the #ubuntu channel on freenode (1200 visible users and counting) I get a couple of messages and then the IRC transport disconnects (it is shown as logged out in Psi).
Using smaller channels (tens of users) seems to work ok.
