Installing OpenFire using SQL Express 2005 not working

Good afternoon,

After vieing the forum here i have tried desperatly to get open fire to work with sql express2005 with no luck.

I have setup new user called open fire, using management studio.

Created a new database called open fire and mapped user open fire to user created above. Set default schema to “db_owner”

there are no “owned” schemeas checked.

in the first security panel set the default db for user openfire to be openfire.

Went to setup open fire:

JDBC Driver class:net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver

Database URL: jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://localhost/openfire;appName=jive

username:openfire

password:openfire

hit enter: "A connection to the database could not be made. View the error message

by opening the “\logs\error.log” log file, then go back to fix the

problem "

here is the log:

any ideas?

Add Instance=SQLEXPRESS to the end of the Database URL…

Database URL: jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://localhost/openfire;appName=jive;instance=SQLEXPRESS

Depending on your instance name, it may be something different than SQLEXPRESS
