IRC Transport truncates messages?

I am running Openfire 3.6.3 with the IM gateway plugin 1.2.4d. I am accessing this server with the Exodus 0.10.0.0 client.

I have no problem logging in to irc.freenode.net and joining a channel, but when I send messages through the irc transport, either to the channel or to a specific user, the message is truncated at the first newline.

I don’t think my Exodus client is the issue because I have no problem sending multi-line messages vai xmpp or via the AIM or Yahoo messenger transports.

Is this an issue with the IRC transport/gateway, or is there some configuration I am missing?

OK, I have removed the gateway 1.2.4d plugin and installed the Kraken XMPP IM Gateway 1.0.0 instead. I will verify if I still have the problem and post to the http://kraken.blathersource.org/forum if I do.
