Is there two different Broadcast dialog windows?

greetings from Colombia, South America

i got Openfire 3.6.3 in a Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 and about 40 clients, all of them with Spark 2.5.8 under Windows XP SP2.

so far, so good, BUT, i have a little problem with the Broadcast function in Spark.

in some clients (Spark), when you click the “Send a broadcast” button (or right-click some group/users, or Actions>Broadcast a message), you got a dialog window with a big text area (to write your message) and also (in the right side), a list for choose the users you want to send the broadcast to. Also, you may choose the type of message: “normal message” or “alert notification”.

BUT, in some other clients, when you click the “Send a broadcast” button (or right-click some group/users, or Actions>Broadcast a message), you got a much simpler window: ONLY a textarea to write your message. No user’s list, no type of message.

Why is that? is there a hidden setting? i really can’t find it…

thank you very much

guess what?

spark_2_5_8.exe and spark_2_5_8.msi ARE NOT THE SAME SOFTWARE

yep.

not-the-same.

but wait! both are 2.5.8!

no matter, my dear. NOT THE SAME

at least not in Broadcast terms.

i guess they got the wrong files, right?
