So I’ve run into a strange issue that has only come up recently it seems. We have some individuals in our company that work remotely and some of those people happen to have macs facilitating the use of Adium while everyone else on site uses pidgin. The issue comes up when the remote user attempts to send a broadcast message but is not always received. After checking broadcast permissions and making sure that messages are not being lost due to zombie sessions even going so far as making sure the domain name for our Jabber server wasn’t causing an issue by having them use just the IP address for it I’m somewhat at my wit’s end.
Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?
