Jive admin console doesn''t seem to save settings

Hi:

I’'ve got Jive 2.3 under a slaxkware linux 10.0 box with

java version “1.5.0_04”

Java™ 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_04-b05)

Java HotSpot™ Client VM (build 1.5.0_04-b05, mixed mode)

I set it up to authenticate againsta ldap, works fine. however, when i change settings via admin console (for example disable server to server stuff, enable packet logging, disable creation of new accounts etc), they only take effect as long as the server stays up. If i stop and restart it, values are the old ones. I thought it might be permission problems, so i started jive as root. same thing.

In addtition, plugins don’‘t show on admin console. i copied .jar files to plugin directory, they were uncompressed but admin console just doesn’'t show them.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You are using the Embedded-DB, dont you? I have ran into same problems:
