Kinda a newb to jabber and jive messenger - have a question about SMS

I have a jive messenger server running with about 30-40 users. Everything is fine. However, alot of my users have sms phones (doesn’'t everybody have them now). I can use AIM to send SMS messenges, however, I looking for a way to just use my jabber server. Can jive messenger send SMS ? or do I need to bridge my server with AIM ? If I have to bridge it, can anybody point me to directions on how to do it?

Jeb,

You could install a gateway external component. There are quite a few discussions about it in the forums. For AIM, Py-AIM seems to be the best option. I’'m not sure if there is an SMS bridge that you could use.
