Is it possible to set up a LAN server with Openfire that iOS clients can access if we do not control any other servers, such as the AD server or DNS server (we can request that names be mapped to IP addresses, but that is it). The routers block all outbound traffic to IM servers external to the network so there can be no internetwokring at all.
If you have a wifi rounter inside of your LAN, so iOS client could connect through it to your internal network, then it is possible.
The OF server is installed and the iOS clients are able to connect. We have even setup SparkWeb.
