LDAP and public chat rooms with arbitrary users at the same time

Hi.

Is it possible to have Openfire setup to work with LDAP and at the same time have public chat room service, where users can register themselves with the server and join rooms? Or is a 2nd instance of Openfire needed? Maybe it could be done somehow different?

You can’t have LDAP integration and also separate user base in different database. So you will need 2nd instance of Openfire and if you want users from both servers to be able to chat in same group chat, you will need to configure Server to Server connection between them. Can’t think of any other way.
