LDAP Issues

Unable to get openfire to sync with LDAP running on windows 2012 R2 Standard. DC’s are also windows 2012 R2. Also the test button does not function either. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Easy fix for the test settings issue. Download https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/prototype/1.7.2.0/prototype.js and replace the new script over the old one in this location: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Openfire\plugins\admin\webapp\js”.

It took me a few hours to figure this one out. Apparently there is a bug in the version that shipped with installer. Hope it helps with your troubleshooting issues.

I wonder if this only affects IE browser?
