Lock down spark to access single jabber server?

Is it possible to lock down the spark client to access only a single authorized internal jabber server? We’‘ve got an openfire server with AD integration setup and we’'d like to lock down the spark clients so they can only access our internal jabber server. Is this something that can be done? Perhaps with the enterprise license enhancements?

You could restrict access to the Internet on TCP/5222 which will prevent users from connection.

There’'s nothing in the Openfire/Spark products which will do this.

Hi,

with the Enterprise license you should also get the option to use the skinning service which allows to set a custom jabber server.

Would the skinning service let you lock in that custom jabber server so the user cannot change it?

Hi,

“Restrict the server address the client connects to. This allows the client to only make connections to a server you specify.” sounds like this on http://build.jivesoftware.com/skin/ . Don’'t wonder about “Existing Accounts Only”, it means "The Spark Skinning service is no longer accepting new stand-alone accounts, but the service and new accounts will continue to be available to Openfire Enterprise customers. "
