I wondered if anyone could shed some light on this…
We have setup an OpenFire server which users authenticate via LDAP. We have shared out our user group of users (150 users). The group is pulled down when users login. This seems to take a good 60-90 seconds to login.
Also, when sending messages there is a massive delay. It is not “instant” which poses problems. Messages can take anywhere between 1 and 2 minutes to be received. This is when there are only two people logged in! It started off really fast, but for some reason is now really slow.
We have tried a few clients: Spark, Exodus and are sticking with Pandion - for the nice GUI and small amount of memory it uses. We are using OpenFire 3.6.3 with an embedded database.
Could anyone please advise what to check to resolve this matter?
