Login via https

I’d like to use https for login, and maybe also to visit the whole site. It would be fine for me if ignite02 would terminate SSL and use then the same unencrypted connection to communicate with ignite01.

Anyone else who dislikes to transfer the password in plain text?

Also for the standard users it would be great if one could offer login via https.

Unless someone has a problem with this, we should probably ask Contegix to make it so. Personally, I don’t care that much either way (lots of other ways I can loose my password), but if the work involved is minimal and this doesn’t cause any problems in other parts of the site, I’m fine with it.

I thought that we do configure Apache@ignite02 so it should be a minor issue to enable SSL also for this site, similar to https://svn.igniterealtime.org/svn/repos/openfire/trunk/ which supports SSL.
