Losing Network Connectivity After Openfire Installation

I have tried installing openfire on two different servers on our network. In each case, it works perfectly and users can connect, however, mapped drives drop with openfire running. The servers are Windows 2003 Standard. In one case, which is the most problematic, there is a user that uses QuickBooks and if openfire is running the connection to the QuickBooks datafile, which is on a mapped drive, routinely drops. Has anyone seen this behavior and know how to resolve? Thank you.
