Mac Notifications

Hi everyone.

So I rolled out Spark to my team today and did some limited testing on Mac but being a Windows user, I never noticed that Spark was not bouncing in the dock when a new message arrives. Is there any way to make this happen?

Thanks
Ben

Which version have you rolled out? It looks like bouncing feature was available in 2.5.0 version (looking through the bug tracker). Maybe it was broken in the later versions. Can you also try on one workstation with the latest 2.6.0 SVN version? http://bamboo.igniterealtime.org/browse/SPARK-INSTALL4J-44/artifact/Install4j Where is no mac installer though, you can try unzipping the tar.gz package and running it from there. If not possible, then try the latest 2.6.0 Beta 2 http://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/beta.jsp

If bouncing won’t work for you with those versions, then i will file an issue, but i think it won;t be fixed very soon. No mac developers here.

Hi wroot,

Thanks for the reply. I have tried the latest version from SVN and it still does not work. Is there some place I can download version 2.5.0 to give that one a try?

Thanks

Ben

Try this link http://www.igniterealtime.org/downloads/download-landing.jsp?file=spark/spark_2_ 5_0.dmg

Hey wroot,

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to work either…=/

Thanks
Ben

Maybe it is not compatible with the current Mac OS version anymore. What version are you on?

Yeh, that would be my guess. I have been testing it on 10.6.4. I also have users on the lastest version of 10.6.5.

The least that i can do. SPARK-1185 And hope that some mac developer will look at this and propose a patch.

Understood. Thanks for all your help!

Ben
