Message auditing and archiving

Can someone describe to me the difference between message auditing, which I find available in openfire, and message archiving that’'s in the enterprise version?

On a side note, I have enabled auditing on my 3.0.1 setup, but it doesn’'t seem to log anything??



the audit feature will write to openfire/logs/ but you should not increase the values on the audit screen as it has a 2 GB file size problem. If you did set one value to 3 GB you’'ll find empty log files.

The Enterprise Plugin logs to the database with some search features.
